CHOOSE To Have Peace. It really IS a choice!

My husband and I just listened to a sermon in which the speaker stated that peace is a choice. No matter what is going on, we have the option to choose to keep our peace. Most of us, however, make the wrong choice. “The fruit (the result of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling and being in control of us as we yield to Him and His promptings, allowing Him to use and change us as He wills) of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE…”.*

The truth of the matter is this: We choose to fast and crucify our flesh (deny it what it wants whether food, desires, or thoughts) or not. It is only by doing this that we can walk in the spirit: being sensitive to the voice and promptings of, yielded to and quick to obey the Holy Spirit. It is totally our choice. We choose to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self control) or the fruit of flesh (adultery, fornication, uncleanness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like). Gal 5:19-23 Again, the results are TOTALLY up to us.

To quote the Chrisagis Brothers, “May peace be more than a season. May it be a way of life.” A-men!
