How Could He Say That?

Posted in Christianity, Love tagged , , , at 5:01 pm by Lisa Ritchey

I find it absolutely amazing how a preacher can say something as an example or illustration and all the religious nut cases and UNreligious critics will jump all over it and declare them “a false prophet”, “A lying preacher”, “a heretic” and even worse.

I am really going to upset some people now, but, if you do not agree with what the original meanings of the words in the Bible are, that does not change a thing.  THEY STILL MEAN THE SAME THING!

The Bible is The Bible and the Word of G-d is His Word. He wants you to agree with it (what He meant when He first said it, not what someone thousands of years later decides it should mean).

If you do not agree with G-d and His written Word then, quite simply, you are wrong.

You see, G-d does not change His WORD to fit our doctrines and beliefs, no matter who or what.  Any denomination that believes anything but the WHOLE Bible is missing it.

Yes, I said the Whole Bible.

Genesis to Revelation.

The entire New Testament, too.

  • G-d created the Heavens and the Earth.  Was there a big bang?  I don’t know, but if there was, I know who caused it![1]
  • Did the Red Sea part for the Israelites to pass through on dry ground while escaping from Egypt?  You betcha it did, and i know whose hands were holding that water back, and it weren’t Buddha, Confucius, or any other than The One, True, Living G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.[2]
  • He became G-d on Earth, born of a virgin, baptized in water and the Holy Ghost descended on Him, did many, many miracles, was totally sinless, a spotless lamb who gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross for our sins, that we might not perish, but have eternal life in Him, three days later rose HIMSELF UP from the grave (yes, history books confirm this.  Too many people saw not just Him, but many other dead righteous for it to be denied), went back to Heaven leaving His Holy Spirit and anointing here for us so that  we might continue His ministry[3] as described in Mark 16:17,18 and John 14:12.

Look, He either is who He said He is or He isn’t, and He either is the same yesterday, today, and forever, or He isn’t[4].  You can’t have it both ways.

I know that, personally, I believe the whole Bible and want to do and be all He wants.  I also receive the correction afforded by it.

If G-d said do it, then do it. If He said don’t, then don’t.  It is wrong to.

It really doesn’t get any simpler than this: You may not like the preacher preaching it or His style, but The Bible (in it’s original meanings) is the Truth and will stand as such forever[5].

You either believe it or not.  That is up to you!
