We Don’t Hate The Sinner, But The Sin, So Let’s Get This Straight Once And For All: Bible QUOTES On Homosexuality

I am by no means judging, stereotyping, degrading, or demoralizing anyone with this post.  I truly live by the motto “Love the sinner, hate the sin.”  You see, I can love someone and not approve of or support their actions.  This is true whether it is a drug addict, alcoholic, or LGBT .  

I do my best to live by The Word, and The Bible does speak very plainly about this topic.

Let’s look at some of the Scriptures about homosexuality and see what the words in them really mean.

  • Genesis 2:22 -23And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
  • (23) And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

That one needs no explanation.  G-d made a woman for man, not another man for him.  And He made woman for man; He did not make her for another woman!

  • Leviticus 18:22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Abomination: Something morally disgusting, not o.k., socially acceptable, or even something to “turn a blind eye to”.[1]

  • Leiticus 20:13  If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

THIS is exactly how the G-d that created the universe and everything and everyone in it looks at homosexuality, bisexuality, transgendered, gay, or whatever label you use for it.  When G-d sees any abomination, which He always does, all He sees is sin.  You may love each other passionately, but the LGBT lifestyle is still a sin.  

There are no two ways to look at this.

(For those that argue that all these Scriptures are Old Testament, these are N. T.)

  • 1 Corinthians 7:2  Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
  • 1 Corinthians 11:9  Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.


  • Deuteronomy 12:32  What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
  • Deuteronomy 22:5  The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

G-d is love, but He also has judgment, wrath, jealousy, among others

  • 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

G-d is a G-d of love, but as this scripture shows, He means business.  He knows that some things are spiritual and can be spread, just like lice, so the source must be destroyed; with none remaining.  So He ordered every breathing being destroyed.  Period.  It had to be.

“… 3.5% of adults in the United States identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual, with bisexuals making up a slight majority of that figure.”[2]

It used to be “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”, but I guess those days are long gone.  Now it is all rights should go to the ones who stand for all things new and “out there”, and we that stand for justice and right (The Scriptures, Jesus, and the One True Living G-d) are to be squelched and silenced.  If I do not have the right to stand in a Pulpit and say that homosexuality is wrong, then my First Amendment rights are being denied.

The True Church does not preach hate sermons, just right and wrong.  And like it or not, wrong is wrong is wrong is wrong.  And it always will be, no matter who doesn’t like it.

Is there hope for the gay?  Absolutely!

There are those that have grown up seeing this lifestyle and feel it is o.k. and acceptable and what they want to do.  This is a learned behavior.  As it was learned it can be changed.

There are those that are sexually molested and become gay.  This can be either a learned behavior or spiritual.  People do not want to admit it, but there is a spirit of sexual perversion out there.  It is very real and can very easily manifest as homosexuality.  I have seen people delivered of this spirit and go on to live perfectly happy, monogamous, heterosexual lives.

  • Exodus 34:6-7 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
  • (7) Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty;  visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

This may be the learned thing, or spiritual.  Either way, it is passed on.

Israel dealt with Parental iniquities like this:

  • Nehemiah 9:2  And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.

You might want to read what all they did that day to cleanse themselves of all unrighteousness, and how they did it.  So it can be done!

It is impossible for a true Christian to say that it is alright if it is an abomination in G-d’s eyes.  They simply can not do it.  But neither do they throw out the baby with the bath water.

Are gay’s welcome in my church?  Absolutely, as long as they are not trying to convert others to their lifestyle, or force us to accept it as alright.  We will love and accept them, but they will know what they are doing is wrong, just like an adulterer or couple living together out-of-wedlock, or thief or alcoholic would.  If G-d is truly in the House, it will not be long until they come under conviction and want to give up that lifestyle.  I mean, Jesus did die for us all while we were yet sinners![3]

THIS is how the true Church operates.

It is a shame, though, that there are just so few of them out there!

This breaks my heart, just like it does Jesus’.
