Is It Possible To Be A REAL Follower of Christ and be “Open-Minded”, “Inclusive”, or Even “Tolerant”? Let’s Look At The Bible And See!

Every religion and denomination have someone [thing] at the head that they look to.  The only ones with a Living G-d are Christianity and Judaism.  The only one in which we can actually have a two-way relationship is Christianity, through the shed blood of Jesus the Christ.

Many religions teach that there is no afterlife.  Many others believe in reincarnation until it is gotten right or certain levels of awareness are obtained.  I, personally, would want no part of a religion that believes there is no assurance, no matter what you do, of entry to Heaven.  I could also have no part in a heinous, violent religion that believes everyone else is to be killed, because they don’t believe the same way.

What are we, as Christians, to do with the people that believe these things, though?

It is not in the Bible, but is a super good saying all the same: Love the sinner, hate the sin.

It is often through our life that others will come to know Jesus; IF we actually live our faith.  I have also had many conversations with people of other denominations as well as religions, simply asking what they believe and explaining the truth.  Nice, civil, polite.

I had a friend who was Mormon.  She wanted me to take the classes that they offer for people to be converted to Mormonism.  I went.  after two or three classes, they asked me not to come back because I sat there with my King James Bible and showed them exactly where in the Bible their beliefs were unscriptural, therefore Unchristian and their young “missionaries” were starting to question their beliefs.  I do the same when they come to my door.  You must know your Bible if you are to stand against other doctrines, though.

We work and live with people of other religions and cultures.  Nowhere does the Bible tell us to run from them, especially when we can’t, but we certainly had better not get involved with their beliefs, either.

Heb 13:9  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Are we to accept other beliefs?  No.   But love the people, nonetheless.  After all, Jesus died for them, too!*

There is only one way to Heaven, and that is through Jesus.  Period.  Any other belief is just wrong.

Your eternity is riding on this:  Who do you believe?

*Rom_5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
