God’s Love vs. Spiritual Laws

1 John 4:8  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

And He loves us so much that He gave His only begotten son[1] so He could have a personal relationship with man again[2], just like He did before Adam messed up[3] .

Not only would G-d give anything to have a relationship with us again, He did[4].  There is nothing He would not do for or give to those that love Him.[5]

So, why don’t things work like they should in each of our lives?

I believe.  I ask.  Nothing happens.

Why?

Spiritual laws.

There are laws which can not be bent, broken, or changed.

  • Anyone who does not accept who Jesus is, what He did, and why He did it is not, no way possible on Earth, going to get to go to and stay in Heaven.  Just ain’t gonna happen.  No matter how good a person they are, how much money they have, how many good deeds they did, how often they went to church, or even if they held an office and/or worked in the church.  Preachers included!
  • What is not protected by G-d is open to be attacked, even believer’s stuff.  If you are not tithing and giving, you are not protected.  If you do, you will be blessed:

Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

  • Obedience brings blessings.[6]
  • Disobedience brings actual curses (and these can be some really bad stuff!). [7]
  • G_d Himself does allow, even send, evil and bad things.  [8]
  •  People must hear about Jesus to believe in and trust Him [9]

Things we are told to do:

Do you truly believe in Jesus as the Christ?  Tithe?  Give offerings on top of tithing?  Do you do, or give to others so that they can do, the things listed in Matthew 25?  Do you tell others about Jesus and that He has the answer to whatever they are going through?   Do you pray (talk and listen  to Him!)?  Thank Him, praise Him, and spend time just loving on Him and letting Him love on you?

Things we are not to do:

Do you lie, cheat, steal, want something to the point that you want you and nobody else to have it?  (This is a problem with auctions unless you are the first one to bid, and only bid once.)  Do you say things to make someone look bad to others?  (THIS is gossiping!)  Do you look at a man/woman as something besides a great work of art ?  Do you use the L==d’s name in any way other than talking to or about Him?

I could go on and on with these, but you get my drift.

If you do the things we are told to do, and do not do the things we are told not to do, your umbrella is intact.  I absolutely love the way that my husband explains this:

Our spiritual covering is like an umbrella.  When we sin, we shoot a hole in it, leaving an opening for the enemy to come in.  True repentance closes the hole back.  And only that.

So, if you are doing the things you should be doing, and not doing the things you shouldn’t, you are covered.  If you are still having a hard time, is it a test?  Praise your way out, and see what happens.
