What Are Ya’ Waiting For!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Day Two: Genesis 22.8 The saddest words in the world are “If only I had (you can fill in the blank with whatever you wish you had done)” Why wait?  If He said for you to do it, that means that you can – you are able, you are already equipped and have everything you need to – accomplish this mission.

1. You have an engraved invitation (His Word, the Bible)

2. You have been formally asked (You heard His calling)

3. More than likely, there has been more than one instance where you felt prompted to do what He told you to do.  (He won’t let you forget!)

AND REMEMBER

4. You were not given a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.[1]

So, JUST DO IT ALREADY! You will be glad that you did, for oh so many reasons! I have two Scriptures on this: 1 Samuel 15:22, 23 22) And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry . Now for the shocker.  Let’s look at what that last verse really means. 23) For

    • rebellion (to disobey, rebel against[2])
    •  is as the sin (an offence -sometimes habitual sinfulness, to miss; to forfeit[3])
    • of witchcraft (determine by lot or magical scroll; soothsayer, use [divination][4]),
    • and stubbornness (to peck at,stun or dull[5]) (spiritually)
    • is as iniquity (to exert oneself, usually in vain;  trouble, wickedness[6]).
    •  and idolatry (turning to and trusting in something believed to heal, but made by human hands[7]).

And I also have this for you.  Another shocker: Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin (to miss the mark [and so not share in the prize][8]) unto death(be dead, die; spiritually and/ or physically[9]), or of obedience (attentive hearkening and compliance or submission[10]) unto righteousness (to be innocent, holy, right[11])? What has He told you to do? So, now that you know all this, is your reason for not getting it done really good enough?
