And You Think G-d Can’t Use You?!?!?!?

There are so many lists of the people in the Bible with character flaws that G-d used so greatly, but this one goes further. It is so good, I needed to share it with you.

  • Moses stuttered & was a murderer.
  • Gideon and Elijah were afraid.
  • Jonah held a grudge, refused to obey and ran from what he was told to do.
  • David‘s armor didn’t fit, he was too young, he was always dancing and singing.  He was the family outcast.  After becoming King, he committed adultery, then he had her husband killed!
  • John Mark deserted Paul.
  • Timothy had ulcers.
  • Isaac was a daydreamer.
  • Zaccheus was short.
  • Leah was unattractive.
  • Timothy had health issues.
  • Amos‘ only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.
  • Jacob was a liar.
  • Joseph was abused and thrown out by family.
  • Solomon was too rich.
  • Abraham was too old.
  • Peter was afraid of death.
  • Lazaruswas dead.
  • John was self-righteous.
  • Naomi was a widow.
  • Paul persecuted the church, actually overseeing the killing of the believers.
  • Peter denied even knowing Jesus.
  • Jonah ran from G-d’s will.
  • Miriam was a gossip and rebellious as well as jealous and a trouble maker.
  • Gideon and Thomas both doubted.
  • Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
  • Elijah was burned out.
  • John the Baptist was a loudmouth, “dressed weird”, and ate weird stuff.
  • Mary Magdaline was a hooker and was demon possessed.
  • Martha was a worry-wart.
  • Noah got drunk.
  • Did I mention that Moses had a short fuse?
  • As did Peter, and Paul, and – well, lots of folks did.

I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

I saw this online below their list, and thought it was so good.  This says it all:

But G-d doesn’t require a job interview. He doesn’t hire and fire like most bosses, because He’s more our Dad than our Boss. He doesn’t look at financial gain or loss. He’s not prejudiced or partial, not judging, grudging, sassy, or brassy, not deaf to our cry, not blind to our need.

G-d’s gifts are free. We could do wonderful things for wonderful people and still not be. . . Wonderful.

Satan says, “You’re not worthy.”

Jesus says, “So what? I AM.”

Satan looks back and sees our mistakes.

G-d looks back and sees the cross.

For G-d so loved the world (and yes, that does include you!) that He gave His Only Begotten Son (that is Jesus) , that whosoever (yes, that means whosoever, anybody, anywhere, anytime.  That includes you right now) believeth in him should not perish (spiritually), but have everlasting life (in Heaven).

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So, here are your choices:

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 KJV
(19) I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
(20) That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

G-d has already done everything that He needs to.  It’s your call now!

Choose life.  He is so worth it.

And so are you!
