You Are Here

You Are Here

Man has been given “Free Will”.  This means that we all get to make our own choices.  G-d does not  force us to give our lives to Him.  He does not force us to follow and obey Him.  If we love Him, we will but He will not force us to.  If one is called to go right, but instead choose to go straight, or even left, then His will is not being done, and the one in disobedience misses out on the opportunities, promotions, blessings, and rewards that come with obedience.  Don’t believe me?  Read Deuteronomy 28.  Yes, that is Old Testament but since Jesus did not say that it changed in the New Testament, that means that it still stands.

You know the Scripture:

  • Being the Head and not the tail.
  • Blessed coming in and going out.
  • Blessed in the city and blessed in the field

And if you choose to not obey, it is the opposite: cursed.

This tells us that it is up to us to choose to follow and obey Him.  And we get the blessing or curses that are the result of the choice we make.

His mercies are new every day.  “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”  Lamentations 3:22-23

Yes, Great IS Thy Faithfulness!

May we always remember this:  We are all human and mess things up.  If you have turned left when you should have gone right (or just hit the brakes), there is yet hope.  Things might not turn out like they would have, and every time He has to give you another chance the blessing, the ministry, the promotion will be a bit smaller.  But look at the Prodigal son:  He chose to go it alone and wound up in the pig pen.  When he chose to return to what he should have been doing in the first place, his father  r a n  to meet him and welcome him back home.  It was a very big deal to the father, just as it is to our Heavenly Father when one of His children goes astray and then comes back.  Mercy.  New every day.  Thank You, L–d!

I know I need it.  Daily.  We all do.  Did you know He gives it so freely, and He gives it gladly.

And it is there for you, too, dear.  Just ask.  And you will receive.  Promise!

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

NOTE:  He forgives us freely and instantly.  We often continue to struggle with guilt and condemnation because we don’t forgive ourselves.  If you need to, ask Him to help with this, also, and see what a difference it makes.
